An important milestone: topping-out ceremony at ORPU🏗️🎉
On May 6, 2026, ORPU Pumpenfabrik GmbH celebrated a significant milestone: the topping-out ceremony for its new company site. This special occasion was celebrated in the company of numerous guests, participants, and staff members.
Our managing directors Ronny Kunkel and Holger Zutz warmly welcomed the guests and thanked them for their support during the construction phase. 👷🤝
A special highlight of the event was the ceremonial burying of the time capsule – as a symbolic moment for the start of a successful future.

✅Precision in Electric Motor Manufacturing: Our Winding Head Forming Sleeve in Action
In the production of 10“–12” stators, the winding head forming sleeve plays a crucial role. This device is always used in pairs—one at the top and one at the bottom of the stator—to precisely shape the individual conductors of the coils.
Why is this so important?
The sleeve helps us accurately assess and maintain the technically limited space available for the winding heads. This is the only way to ensure that the windings can later be positioned securely and optimally accommodated within the stator.
Once the stator is fully wound, the forming sleeves are removed. The winding heads are then bandaged and secured to ensure their final shape and length.
The result:
Clean, precisely formed winding heads—and thus the foundation for an efficient, durable, and reliable electric motor.

✅Precision in electric motor production: Our winding head form sleeve in use
In the production of 10″-12″ uprights, the winding head form sleeve plays a decisive role. This device is always used in pairs – one at the top, one at the bottom of the stand – to precisely shape the individual conductors of the coils.
Why is this so important?
The sleeve helps us to precisely estimate and maintain the technically limited space for the winding heads. This is the only way to ensure that the windings can be securely positioned later and optimally accommodated in the upright.
As soon as the upright is fully wound, the forming sleeves are removed again. The winding heads are then bandaged and fixed to ensure their final shape and length.
The result:
Clean, precisely shaped winding heads – and therefore the basis for an efficient, durable and reliable electric motor.

🔧 A quick look at our motor assembly area 🔧
This is where motors are assembled and prepared for future use. The photo shows a 6-inch motor with a PT100.
Among other things, you can see the bolts used to secure the pump and the NEMA shaft. This shaft will later drive the pump, enabling water to be delivered in the desired quantity and at the required pressure.💧
The combination of motor and pump is referred to as a unit. Such 6-inch motors are used, for example, in industrial facilities, by municipal utilities, or for irrigating lawns—such as in gardens or on soccer fields.
