The name Oddesse already reflects its successful model: the English engineer Oddie embodies technical pioneering spirit, whereas the German businessman Hesse represents the commercial exploitation of patents and efficient company organisation.
The trademark “Oddesse”, protected by an imperial patent, is transferred to “Forstreutersche” Maschinenbau AG.
By 1900, Oddesse already has its own bronze and iron foundry as well as subsidiaries throughout Germany and Europe.
