18 persons called “activists from the very beginning” procure outsourced machines under sometimes adventurous conditions and start repairing pumps for the population.
On 1 October 1946, Oddesse becomes the property of the Province of Saxony and therefore national property. Subsequently, the VEB Pumpenfabrik Oschersleben is founded.
As a result, the name “Oddesse” will disappear from the global market for over 40 years.
However, it is never forgotten by the citizens of the city.
Shortly afterwards, a successful renewal and development begins at the historic pump site in Oschersleben.
