In the production of 10“–12” stators, the winding head forming sleeve plays a crucial role. This device is always used in pairs—one at the top and one at the bottom of the stator—to precisely shape the individual conductors of the coils.
Why is this so important?
The sleeve helps us accurately assess and maintain the technically limited space available for the winding heads. This is the only way to ensure that the windings can later be positioned securely and optimally accommodated within the stator.
Once the stator is fully wound, the forming sleeves are removed. The winding heads are then bandaged and secured to ensure their final shape and length.
The result:
Clean, precisely formed winding heads—and thus the foundation for an efficient, durable, and reliable electric motor.
